Emily Sanzaro – Tasmanian Harpist

I thoroughly enjoy performing and the harp lends itself to this with its dramatic appearance and magical sound.  I am available for weddings, private functions, events, festivals and just about anything in between.

I have an extensive repertoire on both the harp and the violin, which is ever increasing.  I play a full range from classical, celtic, folk, traditional, jazz and blues through to contemporary music.  I am also happy to discuss particular song requests if given adequate time; pretty much anything can work on the harp.  Of course the classics from such composers as Bach, Handel & Pachelbel are timeless but even the most unlikely seeming music can sound great on the harp, from Radiohead to Metallica!  Feel free to have a chat with me about your ideas.

I am very fortunate to have a selection of instruments including 2 harps and 1 violin.  I have a small lever harp made here in Tasmania and a concert pedal harp from Camac Harps in France.

Although the harp is my first musical love, I am very happy to provide either harp or violin at your event.  Generally, the harp does not require amplification, however this can easily be arranged if required.

My prices start at $350, however I am happy to tailor a package to suit your individual needs and am very flexible in my approach. Please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss your needs and I will provide a detailed quote taking into account the nature of the event, duration of performance and any travel involved.

I find it is best to arrange to meet with you in person if possible, giving you an opportunity to hear my music and to talk through your requirements.  I do not charge a fee for this meeting, and there is no obligation to make a booking.

If you decide to go ahead, I require a $100 non-refundable deposit in order to secure the booking.

For any performance further than 30km from Launceston, there will be an additional fee applied to cover travel costs.

It is generally not possible for me to commit to a booking more than 12 months in advance as I need to be certain of my availability, however there is some flexibility here depending on the situation.
